39,440 original miles. Very little rust for the year. 400 engine. Will run but not firing very well, needs new plug wires.

Looks like the mileage claim could be true.

I wonder whether with a vehicle that old maybe someone tried to run it on bad gas and caused some valves to stick in the valve guides, thus bending them and therefore causing the engine to run badly.

If a compression check or at least checking if the engine turns smoothly with the starter and not showing low compression in any cylinders, it might be a good buy.

Its the kind of car I would be interested in if it was a model I really liked.

Yes it does. And looks like the clear coat coming off the driver side quarter around the lower trim.
