would be nice.

Very nice car that deserves to be nice and cozy indoors. I noted the following details: on picture 70/74 the odometer shows 19,348 miles while on picture 74/74 it shows 26,837 miles. It's missing four (4) pieces of trim, three on pass. side and one on driver's side. On pictures 41 & 42, do we see orange peel, or is it an optical illusion? I suspect the car has had at least a partial repaint.

Awesome green interior!

I really, really like this one. I'm kind of surprised by the lack of fanfare. I'd buy this one if my next open stall wasn't already taken.

Oliver...how tough is it to find that missing trim on this one? I haven't paid attention to NYB exterior trim parts in general...maybe I should start.

Hi Doc, It may take a little time but you should be able to find all the pieces at a decent price. I've seen them many times on He-Bbbbay in NOS condition; and 4 door trim is much easier to ship than 2 door trim. You may even luck out and find them with green vinyl inserts.
Another option for you would be to check with @Wolfen who recently dismantled a 4Door '72 New Yorker. Trim pieces are the same on '72 and '73 New Yorkers. The color of the vinyl inserts may differ because his car was white but I guess they could be dyed to a close match.

I would recommend giving that car a close inspection in person for potential hidden rust.

You could always get it and put a good quality car cover on it until a new stall opens up.

What do you think the worst rust areas would be on these...rear window edges or front cowls? lower quarters?

Rear window edges and rear quarter panels are the most susceptible areas. The front cowls on these cars also have a certain propensity to rot if they weren't kept clean. When you open the hood and see pinholes right above the brake booster, it is usually not a very good sign.

I've looked at all the pictures closely and nothing suspicious immediately jumps to the eye. I'm suspecting however that contrarily to the sellers claim that the paint is original, the car received at least a partial repaint. This observation is based on what appears to be orange peel in a couple of the pictures. Of course I could be totally wrong; you know how deceptive images can be. And it also looks like the car received minor touch ups at the base of the rear window; nothing serious at first glance but worth checking nonetheless.

Thanks Oliver you have been great help...The seller just said there's no rust as far as he knows...looks pretty clean to me in photos.

You may also want to inquire as to why the car was driven 7,489 miles between pictures 70 and 74.

NP.
Doc, I just went through all the pictures again. Look at a couple of little things. Pic1: evidence of very early stages of rust under vinyl and what looks like a poor repaint on the quarter.
Pic 2: you might want to check the heater core isn't leaking.
Pic 3: you see where the molding is missing...you don't see any outline left on the paint by the missing molding. This is one of the things that lead me to suspect repaint

Good eye. Makes me wonder if there are deep problems or just surface cosmetic issues and it has good bones and typical stuff to overcome with older vehicles.

I don't know, Doc, but the cumulative effect of all those little things says you don't want to purchase it sight unseen.
