Has potential as long as auction fever doesn't take over and price I way too high
 
Not crazy about the '73 model. Too much plastic on the dash for my taste. I could see it being nice, going back to original with minimal effort.

I love E Bodies and am convinced the only way I'll ever have another is to get a sad mouth. Too bad the interior is so junky - and it's an automatic.

But, why the open headers with a stock 2 bbl?
 
My opinion they look much better as stock. I consider '73 to be the beginning of the end for most american automobiles as far as styling goes.

Never a big fan of E bodys. I got a little excided in 1970 and tried to trade my 69 A12 Road Runner for a Hemi Cuda, that didn't go well. I did own a 71 V code Challenger with performance axle package, (4 speed & Dana 4:10). It just never talked to me.

I see the E bodys as Chryslers "late to the Camaro & Mustang" party. Not to big on quality either.

You mean the doors are not supposed to rattle like that when you close them.
 
I had a 70 Hemi Challenger convertible auto/Dana in Sublime.
It was a bucket list car for me.

It was stolen in Detroit, and that's ok, I wouldn't ever spend the money to replace it.
It was cool and everything, but I never really fell in love with it.

The 73 listed here is already into stupid money in my mind.
Hell, I only have about 15k into my (unfinished)65, you have to be smart about 'investing' in old cars.:BangHead:
 
They only do it when closing the door, luckily it rolls down the highway with no vibrations or shakes so they remain quiet when on the road.
 
I've noticed it in all of my customer's 3 E-bodies, just sounds bad and with the price of some of the Hemi cars you would think someone would think of a way to cure it. But I guess it's Factory.
 
I was always going to slice vacuum hose and put it over each rod with a couple of mini zip ties along it, but my list is way to big above that entry.
 
E bodies should not rattle when the doors close unless the channels or something else is worn out. I restored mine some 25 years ago and it is a great car to look at, but the driving experience leaves a lot to be desired, unless you just like going fast in straight lines. With the 440 up front, it is too front heavy and handles accordingly and the ride is pretty stiff with the stock springs and the seats are not that well contoured for an enjoyable drive. But it is fast and everyone that looks at it drools. I am considering letting mine go to a good friend that really wants it bad so I can spend more time with my C bodies. He is relatively young and I am older and wiser now - well maybe just a little. :rolleyes:

Where are the pics of your other Cuda, Steve? Didnt you say you had a 68?
