The owner finally replied to me after a couple of weeks and sent me a few pics, obviously too much effort for him to take a few good shots though. Three weeks later, I'm still waiting for him to answer my follow-up questions, makes it hard when the seller doesn't provide a contact number...

That sucks, so can you tell something about the condition from the new pics ?
Be patient maybe it´s worth the wait

I'm grateful the owner replied at all, but these pics are not very good, I don't understand why he didn't snap photos while the car was outside the storage unit.

This is an interesting one, If I was in the hunt I might look at this. New top and paint, problem solved, not white anymore.

How hard is it to put a battery in and fire it up? He'd have to do that to get me on a plane, I might take a chance that all it needed was the tires brakes belts and hoses.

Ad is gone? Did it sell? Was this one white with a cream tan like interior and was in houston?

I wish they would of continued power vents through the Formal years!

That was the one, maybe ad expired or it sold?

Maybe it got saved. Was going to be near Houston(3 hrs is near if it's Texas) next month. Was gonna look at it in person.

There you go, I'd asked if anyone on here was located near Houston a few weeks ago for that very reason. Too late now, never mind.

OK< Sorry guys. This was my car and it did get sold, saved by possibly someone here. I just joined this forum. The buyer said he hangs out here. I usually am on the "Moparts " forum and posted I sold the car. Someone there said it was talked about here.
The odd pictures are because someone really wanted pictures of the pinch weld seams. He is from Wisconsin where cars rust.
I delayed response because I am not real healthy, and also wanted someone that was very very persistent in pursuing this car. I was so afraid it would end up parted or smashed.
I did not try to see if the motor was seized from sitting. I should have because if it did, I could have got more. I sold it for 2,600.
If I was younger and had any money I would have liked to paint it black.
The exterior mirrors were pitted and some of the other chrome from humid environment. The guy that bought it was very wealthy. I told him when he finished it, I might trade it back for my non running 70 Challenger R/T S/E valued at 20,000, but he said he was keeping the Imperial.
I hope so.
I guess one thing to tell you guys is ads on Craigslist get pulled off without the poster knowing it, and I anyway get confused with dealing with so many inquiries, and people wanting pictures etc. The car was not running, so I only had a few shots of the car when it was out of storage a year ago. The recent pictures, the lights in storage room are burned out and stuff stored all around car so no good pictures. The interior and dash were almost like new.
Thanks for guys like you that want to see these cars on the road. I recently sold my 77 New Yorker with 8,400 miles on it. Looks like the Golden Fawn 78 listed now. I wish I had the funds to buy that one.
Love to all. I may browse this forum sometimes, but without money to buy these beautiful cars, it just makes me sick.
