I went to look at the car today. I thought it was an original black car, but it is a JY3 exterior (is this Light Gold?). It has a V1Y interior -- looks like gold as well, not tan as the photos look like. The car isn't too bad, from what I could see. There's a little more rust than I would like to see though. The seams in the door bottoms are questionable, and there's some bubbling in the drivers front fender. I opted out of buying it for that reason -- a little too much rust for me -- but I am really fussy with the rust thing on the bottom of the car. The trunk floor is mint in this car though. Funny thing as there was some serious tin worm working on the false tail panel facing the trunk, but on the top, on the driver's side. The guy has only had this car for a week, but he kept telling me how crowds of people swamped the car at drive in car shows. This car does look good in black, but the paint is really in poor condition, and there is definitely many bumps of rust under the vinyl roof. The Temp II water servo servo in the engine compartment was totally bypassed and not hooked up, and the cruise control pins and carb connection has been robbed off of this engine already. I didn't take many photos, just of the fender tag.

I wish these cars were taken better care of, it's a shame because these are gorgeous cars.

DESCRIPTIONTime capsule. One of 90 Two Doors BUILT !!! Only HALF of them sold to public!!! The rest sold to funeral parlors. VERY rare car. Black out the windows. Put some 22's on her and make a statement. ------ ><> see more cars at ClassicCarGuy.com !

BS...........they build 2563 coupes in 73 and i don,t think coupes were sold to funeral parlors....

"Black out the windows. Put some 22's on her and make a statement"...

What statement..?

"I'm an Imperial-Slayer" ?

Good looking car.. I wish it had been a 1970.. :) I am going on holiday in a week to an country with "less than ideal internet connections", so I guess that a (or more) nice 1970 Coupe(s) will appear while I'm gone! :)

About 8 or 9K overpriced by the condition report.

WhereTF did this ******* get his numbers?
Coupes to a funeral home?
"Yes, slide right back in there, Mrs. Bungerholdt. You can do it. Easy now. There you go".

You thought the ad was entertaining, you should have met the guy. ADHD all the way. I didn't know if the guy was doing speed or just had an attention deficit issue. He said if he didn't sell the car out of Wisconsin for close to his $12,999 asking price that he was going to take it to Mecum and get $20,000 for it. I thought the guy was smoking crack, so with the condition of the car and his ideas for grandeur, I promptly left.

The take away I got with this style of car was that I really liked it. These look even better in person, and black suits these cars really well.

I've got to ask people on this forum, is there such a thing as a mint C body out there, or is this just a pipe dream?

Last summer I had to go look at a 1970 Dodge Polara Convertible that a family was asking $200,000. for. My wife and I drove 90 minutes away to see the car. The car had 30,000 miles on it and solid . It had been in the garage for 30 plus years. If the car had been fully opted out with a big engine it may have brought 10% of that and thats a stretch, it was low optioned with a 318. They were told the car would fetch that kind of money at auction and too had visions of grandeur.

Mint C bodies? Yes, there are tons of them out there. You gotta have cash waiting and knock on the door first otherwise, it'll be a long and exhausting search.

It does look good in black...I`ve seen worse.
