Looks nice, but a lack of skirts scares me...pretty much screams that the quarters were worked over due to rust and now the skirts don't fit.

Love the car, a 69 Imp was my first choice but it wouldn't fit in my garage so I had to rule them out early.

As far as the skirts, my car didn't have them either when I bought it. I think a lot of skirts are lost because they're a PITA for a daily driver to rotate the tires or change a flat in the back so many end up in the back of the garage and eventually get tossed by an owner who isn't worried about keeping the car original.

Agreed, I am surprised any have survived

I will take that as a no
You could hire a company to check it out for you, they'll send you a comprehensive report with photographs, I did that once and it turned out the seller wasn't being honest about the condition of the car (a '73 LeBaron coupe), cost me a few hundred but in reality it saved me a lot more by not buying the car, which was a lemon.

Yes, that is true - but I have done and others have done for me is give the vehicle in question a look over to see if it is worth investing the money for a full inspection.

I did have an inspection done on a 73 Lincoln Town Coupe that I really wanted - but there were too many issues that I did not want to tackle. Made it a lot easier to walk away.
