1974 BLUES BROTHER'S "BLUESMOBILE"

"There's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark out, and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it!"

This 1974 Plymouth Fury III was bought new just outside San Antonio and its been in Texas all its life. The car has never been wreaked and was still in original paint before transformation. It had been sitting under a carport for years.

The car has a BIG BLOCK 440 four barrel and 727 Torque Flight transmission. These cars actually are extremely hard to find. Not many survive today.

The car has brand new tires and a very very nice body. The Blues Brothers Paint Scheme and graphics were just done, and its looks awesome!

The car has spent more time sitting than driving. It has a strong motor and transmission but needs service like fuel tank cleaned or replaced and carburetor rebuild. We can do that for a fee if you'd like. The car will drive now onto a trailer.

Here's your chance! We're on a mission from god....

Apologizes to the member here with the Bluesmobile about the Jackass comment

:poke:

This was the green one for $1000 posted on San Antonio craigslist a few weeks back.

It’s has a 400 not a 440.

This guy ruins these old cars for a living

My first car was a 75 real squad unit back in 86 dual cats lol. They stuck cooling fins everywhere they possibly could for every fluid. Sway bars you name it. I didn’t know **** back then but I didn’t care it was a real 440 rubber floor school bus interior 140 speedo steering wheel and dash were Same as those pics. There ain’t a week that goes by that I dont regret letting it go. Bought it for $200 now the god damned dual snorkel air cleaner is almost worth that I was ahead of my time. Back then cops didn’t like kids drivin cop cars and parents didn’t like kids who replicated bluesmobile paint jobs in their driveways. I’d be the king of special interest class today.

. Bought it for $200 now the ......... dual snorkel air cleaner is almost worth that
Please refrain from blasphemy -- if you *absolutely* have to be colorful use profanity instead. Or just figure out a clean way to be witty.

Why dont we we just ban the phrase were on a mission from god too. Lol, gimme a break. Bill Cosby was clean & witty too without profanity & look where that got him. I’ve said my peace. I will refrain in the future. The real blasphemy is wrecking a perfectly good non police mid seventies Monaco or fury.

unless you have a 74 Monaco sedan with a tan Spartan interior, please don't do it. it looks ridiculous to folks who are really into those anyway. buy a crown vic & do the blues bros 2000 thing!

This is Dan Akroyd's personal bluesmobile, the real deal. It's on the "delta" at the Shack Up Inn.

There was a nice one in my neck of the woods I used to see couple years back. Had pics on my last phone. It was behind a fence so I didn’t get a chance to knit pick the interior. But it was the correct year & painstakingly exterior. I remember when the opened the house of blues here in Boston back in the 90s they had a bluesmobile, ran up to it all excited until I saw the red burgundy royal Monaco interior. Yuck.
