Not mine. I'd drive the hell out of it. Bug shield needs to go though.
1975 Plymouth Gran Fury
Selling my 1975 Plymouth Gran Fury. This car has been lovingly cared for it's entire life, and it shows. The car was bought new in Ft. Scott Kansas by an elderly couple from Joplin and never had much use. I am the 3rd owner of the car. The car is vintage red metallic and has never been repainted. There is slight loss on the rear edge of the roof and at one time someone did a scratch repair on the roof and hood. But honestly the paint is 99% amazing considering its 41 years old and red. The only body flaw is it looks like someone opened the rear drivers door too hard and buckled the door skin, but its not really bad. The chrome is amazing and the trim is all there. All of the lighting works without issues, even the fender top turn signals work awesome. This car is truly remarkable and has NO RUST OR ROT!! It still even has all of the original undercoat and dealer installed bug deflect-a-shield!!
The interior is also in great shape. I had the seat fabric replaced but left the original marbled vinyl intact. The dash is great with only a little fading on the top. Everything works as it should, even the analogue clock. The car came with an AM radio originally, but I removed it and installed a 1975 AM/FM in its place but I did bag the AM and kept it. The original carpet and floor mats are also in remarkable shape.
The car still has it's original Goodyear Polysteel spare tire that has no dry rot and it still holding air. The jack and lug wrench are in the trunk and I don't think were ever used. The trunk mat is still also in amazing shape.
It has the base 360/2bbl and 727 torqueflite trans with the 8.25 axle with 2.41 gears. I rebuilt the axle with new wheel bearings and seals and pinion seal last fall and doesn't leak a drop. I had the transmission serviced and a new trans mount put in this spring. The car still has its original exhaust system and has no rust or cracks. I just spent $500 having the radiator re-cored. I also just spent $1000 in parts and labor rebuilding the front end with new upper and lower ball joints, control arm bushings, sway bar end links, sway bar bushings, inner and outer tie rod ends, torsion bar bushings, front and rear shocks, pitman arm, and idler arm.
This is my daily driver/ family car so I have done my best to keep the car looking and running good and have taken a few awards along the way. I have a lot of paperwork to go with the car such as 3 broadcast sheets, dealer brochure, warranty pamphlet, owners manual, and factory parts breakdown with every part number. I also have the 1975 factory service manuals. The car has never been smoked in and the rear ashtrays still have perfect chrome on the inside. I really hate to sell it but I want it to go to a home where it can be a weekend toy and survive longer. Asking $4750/BO. Call Keith
