$700 in Ft Wayne, IN. I doubt there is $700 in parts here. Let's see...wheels and wheel covers, dash (assuming it's still there!), glass, some of the interior bits, lenses, headlight doors, grille, steering box, wiper motor, roof rack, 9-1/4" rear axle assembly, radio, windshield moldings, header panel. That's it. No motor or trans, so I'm thinking $300 to drag it away. Tops.

It wasn't like they took the engine and transmission out of a viable restoration project here. It's better that the remains go to a guy that is building one, strip it to the last useable bolt, and crush the rest.

Might be able to save some body panels if the rust isn't too bad.

I'd offer to haul it away for free and see if he'd take that. Reminds me of my youth in the rust belt when all of the wagons turned out like this after 5-6 winters in the salt bath.

Potential parts of value:
1) woodgrain trim pieces and clips ( My wagon has the best pieces from at least 3 different cars like this one that I pulled parts from cars like this one over the years).

2) pull the tail lights and whole tailgate for the unique wagon bits: ( glass, regulator assembly etc.)

3) Rear bumper, grab handles, roof rack, grille may be good a cores to re-chrome.

4) Wagon interior pieces if not utterly destroyed (cargo area especially.)

5) other things I see there (cruise unit- maybe a non- Autotemp set up to grabs?)

You could get $300 by selling off the front bumper to the derby clowns. It' not the sought after Imperial "pointy" but the "shocker" bumpers are getting hard to find for them period.

I can't count the number of times people have mistaken the 9.25 diff for a Dana 60...

Hey, all Ford 9" rears are the same, right?

This year seems to have been a good year for Station wagon finds. Can't remember that many good ones popping up in a row like this in the past.

Yeah ..... several in just the past couple of months.
I've still got my eye on a local 67 Belvedere wagon still in the original owners family. Grampa passed and I have been promised first refusal if they decide to sell. I call and check on it every few weeks.
