1977 Chrysler New Yorker 4dr Hardtop - $5,500 - Rapid City, South Dakota
FB Description
Pow! This looks like a 1977 Chrysler New Yorker 4 door hardtop, but it is actually a time machine! When you drive or ride in this car you take a trip back to a simpler time when the internet did not exist, Star Wars (A New Hope) was in theaters, and driving was its own form of entertainment. Driving this classic is like being cocooned in cotton candy wrapped in a groovy cloud of sunshine. When you are behind the wheel with the automatic windows down and you put your foot into its 440 V8 engine nothing else will matter for a while because you can smell freedom as your problems melt away for a time. They’ll still be there when you put it back in park but you will be ready to face them with more clarity of thought. Who wouldn’t want a 15 minute break like that? You can have it every day! What makes this car special besides the fact that it has 83k original miles? It has been in the same family for its entire 44 year life! If you’re looking for a “barn find” this is close because it was parked for years in the owner’s grandmother’s shed before they brought it out to revive it. It has so many cool features that auto manufacturers don’t make any more like the individualized passenger triangular window wings, the back wheel skirts and the funky electric raising antenna. There are too many of those little fun details to mention, but they all add up to a smooth and fun riding experience that transports you back to the days when disco, the Jackson 5 and the Commodores were rockin’ in the 8 track player. She has a few hail dings but they won’t matter once you’re behind the wheel. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by! If Doc Brown and Marty McFly had been able to get their hands on this car there is no way he would have ever used a DeLorean to go back to the future. The alternator was just replaced and nothing needs to be fixed on this car for you to drive away in it today. Nearly everything is original. The flux capacitor has not even been swapped out for a Mr. Fusion. Albert Einstein said, “Time is an illusion.” This car proves him right! Come check it out! $5500.
