Good eye Pete, I dont know anything about these models to know what that gauge is. What was the alternative in its place?

I believe the original version of the Chromometer. There was a real nice one of this same vintage (car) on Atlanta GA. craigs website with the oil gauge option......I have not looked for it in awhile to see if its still there.

There you go Mark.....something to drive for the summer.

I double checked and the one is still on Atlantas craigs for $2850. Its a 1976 and I suspect $2500 would take it with it being for sale for awhile. Heck at that price its basicly half of what the other one is asking.

I had a 72 Impala that I converted into a Caprice. Changed the entire interior/color, the exterior trim and changed paint color. I bought the car for $50 with a blown (up) 350 and I put a 454 in it.

Love a 72, knew a guy with one which is why I like them I suppose, the 400 call out was installed by GM but there is a story behind those and many of the 400 72's were 402 Big Blocks. That car would do a burnout for two hundred feet before it would hook, It left a lasting impression

that's why i am being so picky.....lately it seems that nothing is good enough
