Pretty clean Coupe with performance goodies and an interesting deletion of the St.Regis top.

For those who don't know(and actually care), the St.Regis top was just a cover that went over the standard coupe body. The opera windows are actually just the exposed area of the standard roll down windows. The windows are fully operational, using manual regulators set to the full up position. You could make the St.Regis rear windows operational, but the trim around them presses fairly hard on the window and would likely scratch glass when they went up and down.

Those wheels/Rims look pretty deep! Could those be GM wheels? Or did Chrysler Road wheels come deeper than 15x7?

He had them widened to 8"
How did he handle the trim ring, then?

Just drove from south Carolina to Lakeland...
Just....
Went up to the South Carolina Auction with Lakeland Lash.
Just brought it back for a fast flip.

My 76 St. Regis had the power window setup with the motors removed.

The ring is probably either for the 15x7 Mopar ralleys or one of the 15x7 GM wheels, or possibly the 15x8 Chevy ralleys.

You can see that the ring partially blocks the slots on the wheel.

I think Big John had a set widened to 8" for his 300 convertible.

Agree, those aren't even close to the c body ring. They look like the road wheel ring found on Es

No, mine are 7" Diplomat wagon wheels with a generic trim ring.

Edit: I wrote Aspen when I meant Diplomat.

I had manual regulators in my '78. I remember throwing on a window crank to see how they would go down. Must have changed somewhere between the three years or threw in whatever they had more of at the time.

They just look wider than 7". You say they are from an Aspen wagon? Had no idea they would have had these. I thought they only came on the Special Edition Diplomat coupes from '80 or '81.

I'm sorry, I meant Diplomat wagon.

Still new news to me. Thanks.

I have one set of the 7 inchers, and I'll have to give them a closer look. I plan to try widening some of the 6" ones, as it's really not all that difficult to do.

Better to have the centers fitted to new outer rims. Probably cheaper too.

After much thought and deliberation, I have come to the conclusion that the wheels on the car For Sale are, in fact act, 7" rims, like Big John's, and that the seller is (as usual) grossly uninformed as to what he really has.

15x8 wheels where an option on wagons with a towing package on Formal's.
