I like it! I'd like it a little more if it had A/C. I'd like it even more if the price was where I could justify it.

No A/C but nice, are those seats original? I don't recall seeing that pattern back then.

I worked for the company in 1978 and saw a lot of those roll out the factory gates but I too can not recall ever seeing that interior either. I am pretty sure I would have remembered something that unusual.

I like in the write up for the car by the person listing it that it had a "recent 4 wheel alignment" - Okay..................makes me wonder how much of a car guy the seller really is to fall for that..............

Surprisingly good price.

In 1979 the department I worked in had an assigned lab car that was a dark blue Magnum fully loaded. In all my time at Chrysler I don't think I drove any other of their models that felt nearly as good in every respect. Those were great cars - hefty, well built, great looking and seats among the most comfortable I ever experienced during my 11 years with the company and it handled really well with the handling package on it. At the time I was amazed at the quality of those cars compared to the Formals.

Notable quote from the Barnfind article.
"Richard Petty is quoted as saying “The Magnum is undrivable at 190 mph.”

The 2 things that are unique to the interior or exterior on the GT are:

rubber wheel flares

GT nameplates on the fenders

They also used fake engine turned dash bezels and one on the floor console but these
were also used on the 1979 300 too.

No way those seat patterns are OEM

I agree with you up until you mention the seat pattern. That was in fact offer in 1978 although it is very seldom seen, I will try and post up some factory documentation when I get a chance.

the good ole days when a company actually gives you a choice of colors and styles versus black or grey today.(In most cases)in 86-89 my main driver was a 78 Magnum 360. I put over 40k on that car in the Houston/east Texas area where everywhere you had to go was measured by hours versus miles. It woul do 90 all day, was comfortable, and decent mileage. That Is why I bought a 77 Cordoba six years ago, as a nice magnum was a rare find.
