Really nice truck but I would never pay anywhere close to that for an old truck of that size.

I saw a warlock in orange once that was nice. But a 78 little red Express is What I lust after. I think that thing wiped the Floor with every car at the time Except the Porsche 911.

Yah but that's not saying a hell of a lot for 1977/8!
I'm getting kinda sick of seeing the Lil Reds, every time I see one it's the same color. I prefer the fleet side power wagons of the same era.

Magazine results were always fudged. There was more than a few that were actually faster. We wiped one off the road with a stock 80 automatic z/28 for example. T tops and parachute pants, lol. Dark years performance wise for sure, unless you went to a Porsche 911/930 or a something exotic like a Countach. One car that I still don't believe was this fast, but has been claimed many times is the Pontiac 2 + 2. The GTO's big brother. A 0-60 time of 3.9 seconds....

They also made another version...I think called "something Ghost" or whatever...they were Black with gold accents. Even more rare than the Lil Red.

The first Warlocks I remember were black and gold.

Technically All Forward Look and 64-66 Imp's aren't C-Bodies either but they are listed in C-Bodies for sale.

This was the time Jim Wangers was strongly involved in Pontiac Marketing. According to his memoirs it happened that they "accidentally" dropped a wrong engine in test cars as a modified 421 I guess in an early GTo for example. Additionally IIRC that 3.9 second (absolutely unbelievable) was also a result of faulty Timing. I'd have to reread sometimes as it's been years since I had this book in my Hands.

I worked at a Buick dealer in 1978 when someone traded a black 440 powered Warlock 4X4. It didn't stay on the lot very long.

Bob, there is a thread for "non C body" vehicles. Not a big deal but this truck should have been posted there.

We seem to be operating with no moderators lately. No word from Gary or Brian.
