A ORIGINAL 1978 CHRYSLER LEBARON 2DOOR WITH LEATHER INTERIOR . A/C THAT WORKS, AM/FM RADIO, 318 LEAN BURN AUTO. NEW TIRES RECENTLYINSPECTED AND DRIVES VERY NICE. A GREAT FIRST CRUSER. EMAILME WITH QUESTIONS AND THANKS FOR LOOKING . IF YOU LOOK AT THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT YOU WILL SEE THAT IT HAS BEEN COATED WITH BLACK UNDER COATING WHY THIS WAS DONE I DONT KNOW. I DID REMOVE SOME OF IT TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANY RUST THERE WAS NOT. THIS CAR IS ORIGINAL WITH 27,849 MILES IF YOU LOOK AT THE INTERIOR YOU WILL FIND IT IS ORIGINAL IN GOOD CONDITION WITH ORIGINAL RUG AND LITTLE SIGN OF WEAR I WOULD CONSIDER PARTIAL TRADE FOR PROJECT CAR (MUSTANG OR MOPAR ONLY) AND CASH

Compare this one to the black Lebaron from the other day. If you can afford 3k, buy the T-top car or this lower mile car for 6k. Get with it, Collector car prices are going up. Some more than others.

Agreed. Many on this site do not think there is value in cars like this or other similar vehicles, including our very own "C's". I still see the berating of asking prices instead of the other way around. A great many of us, me included, would love to get back into a "muscle" car but those prices are certainly not in my budget nor the average working man. That is why people will gravitate to cars like this and other ilk, prices are still more realistic but are showing signs of increasing. Glad I bought my 'Doba when I did as I have seen more run of the mill 'Dobas in nice condition creeping up.

i have driven/enjoyed my M-body (79 Diplomat) wagon for 13 years now, these have plenty of power with a 318. The lean burn has its issues, but once you get those sorted (I replaced the whole thing with a 4-bbl Edelbrock), you'll have a great driver. Big enough to be comfortable, yet easier to manage in tight traffic. This one looks pretty nice, and you just do NOT see them......

My sister had Diplomat like this but with dark brown metallic paint, same interior. That was a beautiful riding car.
Hope someone here can scoop this one up

Look at the pic of the motor again; why is the Lean-burn control unit covered in plastic?

@LeBaron1973 There you go John. Drive her across country...:)
Certainly looks a good car Graham, hope she finds a good owner. I'm hoping my 73 is progressing, am waiting for Perry to check, trust all are well in Calgary, "should" be able to visit this year but will confirm once finances are better sorted.
