1978 New Yorker Vanity Mirror

To all, need a little help. I had a new headliner put in my 78 New Yorker. The power to the passenger vanity mirror light in the visor was unplugged. I have taken the front moulding off that holds the front of the headliner and the A pillar cover. I cannot find the wire that supplies the power to the connector that powers the light.

Does the power feed wire route up through the passenger side A pillar or across the front of roof? I cannot find the wire!

This would be of interest to me also as the vanity mirror lights are not functioning in my 78 NYB. The fuse and bulbs are good with the light itself working when a separate 12v is supplied to it

You are looking for a pink wire that comes out of the trunk. It comes up through the driver side sail panel and goes under the headliner caddy corner from the left rear (B-Pillar so to speak) to the right side vanity mirror area. That pink wire is a plug in to the harness in the trunk way back in there on the left side under the package tray and is part of taillight wiring.

If you plan on keeping your car I would go on EBay and buy the service manual set and the parts manual. You can get them pretty cheap all the time.
