Sorry if this info was posted before but I did a search and could not find any info.

My '78 NYB was ocasionally leaking anti-freeze when the outside temparture was approx 85 and drove car on interstate. After visually seeing the Heater Control Valve leaking, I did a internet search but all of the ones at the auto parts sources were incorrect in description and photo. I finally found the correct OEM piece at Southeast Air Control. It was not cheap ($75) and was almost double of the incorrect ones.

Yes. All the heater control valves for the 74-78's out there are for the manual A/C cars and are inexpensive.
The AutoTemp II valves are becoming unobtanium.
There is a solution though.
You can use the manual A/C valve in an AutoTemp II car. All the AutoTemp II valve does over the manual valve is prevent coolant from going through the heater core until the coolant gets up to temp. No biggie. So it blows cold air for the first few minutes.

Strange but true story:
When i was looking for that valve, after hours of searching, I found it as an expired listing on... wait for it... the U.K ebay. And it was a U.S. seller!! I contacted him and he still had it and sold it to me. Why U.K? I have no idea and didn't ask...

I have purchased two Autotemp II servos and two Autotemp II amps from George Murphy, owner of Performance Analysis Company, and FCBO member Stormer bought a servo today from George Murphy at Performance Analysis Company. If anyone else needs a servo and/or an amp, go to the site I linked to and contact the proprietor, George Murphy. Or don't bother going to the site and just call him at 865.482.9175.

Per the advice above, I ordered one today. He's gonna give me $25 apiece for all of the junk cores that I have too. They ain't cheap though....$600.

Thanks again, Bob.

You're welcome Ross! I'm glad I could help. And also glad that George is there for our ATII systems!!

Another heartwarming FCBO moment...
