Is that some sort of sealant around the radiator orifices or is that bad boy leaking like a water fall?

That is a low optioned NY'er. I bet it has a 400.........standard engine for a 1978 NY'er.......440 was an option.

Is someone looking for a nice blue interior?

I was. I have everything now and will have new (used) leather seats when I make my trip to Wisconsin in a couple of months.

Thanks all. I've been steadily working on it. I still have a ton of things to do. and on top of that it'll still need bodywork, paint and vinyl when I bring it to Carlisle. I have a new plan, the body and paint guy has too much work and can't get to me until next year.

I love the fact that you have plans long into the future.
And yes, great job.

I'm also working on the A/C. I found the discharge hose, H-block, accumulator, gaskets and O-rings. I'll have to have the suction hose redone in a shop in Delaware.

So what's the scoop??
You converting to manual or staying with the ATC II?

My Ny'er has manual A/C. I charged it up last year to see what was working and what wasn't. I need to replace/rebuild the suction and discharge hoses, H-Block, accumulator, and all the gaskets and O-rings. After repairing the compressor wiring the compressor worked fine. That'll take care of everything under the hood.

I have other A/C problems under the dash. The purple main vacuum hose that comes off the black vac hose and after the check valve is disconnected from the first vacuum harness connector. With some luck that might get the rest of the A/C, heat, and defrost to work. The blower motor works (I had to replace that too - motor seized) and I'm not getting any air flow through any vents.

Has anybody come up with a solution to:
1. What to do if the nipple that the hose attaches to, breaks off. and,
2. What to do if you have to replace an HVAC vacuum line. WTH size is that, anyway??

I haven't gotten that deep yet. I would have to find parts from a donor car. Maybe check with Factory Air for availability of vacuum line.
