1978 Plymouth Fury Sport
I'm selling this one because I have a different 78 Sport Fury that is better and cooler. I guess I only need one, I want all of them, but one is enough for now. There never were that many 78 Sport Furies built (exact numbers are not available) and there are very very few left after 35 years. Due to its era, the late 70's, it's not highly collectable.... yet, but it's on its way. I WILL NOT sell it to someone that I think will cut it up or derby it. This needs to go to a good home.
318, automatic, A/C, cruise, replaced the clock with a factory tach., oil & temp gauges, intermittent wipers, dual speaker dash (no radio, I used it for something else), I added power door locks, 112,784 miles
I realized it after I pulled it out to clean it up to sell it that I haven't drove this on the road for 10 years, boy time flies! It's going to need a complete redo, or a fair amount of work to be a driver. There is rust but it not to the point of falling apart or gaping holes. The rear bumper is good! the quarter panels will need patches, not total replacement. The windshield got broke this past winter, a branch fell on it. I replaced the vinyl top when I was driving it years ago but it needs to be replaced again (it is fine for a driver). It does run and drive but it's not drivable because the brakes want to hold down. It still has a functioning LeanBurn system. I disconnected the fuel tank because I'm sure that the gas that was left in there is really bad, I have a gallon can hooked up under the hood for now. I threw the carpet away, it was bad and the mice made it worse.
I need to price it high enough to chase away the scrappers and derby people but yet low enough to attract a buyer.
I have more pictures. I'll send more out if you ask. I can talk about all the good and bad on this car for a long time.
Due to the high number of scam emails you'll need to add the phrase "purple monkey dishwasher". This way I know that you actually read the entire post, if I don't see that in the email I'll report it. Sorry I have to do this kinda stuff.
