there is a plastic trim ring sized piece that covers the outside wheel edge. They may be a normal road wheel.

Road Wheels are aluminum?

Those are the 1979 Forged aluminum road wheel used on the 300 and other R bodies. They look similar to the steel road wheels we all know and love, but they are NOT the same. The centre part that was painted argent on the steelies is raised on the aluminum ones (reversed if you will). They will fit, but steel road wheel stuff does not fit on the aluminum rims.

As mentioned there was a plastic ring that bolted through the slots on the aluminum wheels (like the fins for 78 salon wheels) which gave the rims this look:

Thanks Mr C. I was never a fan of the trim rings that came with those rims. Sounds like the older center caps and trim rings wouldn't fit.

Not without modifications...there was a snap ring bolted to the rim for the snap on caps. Those would have to be removed for sure. The bolt pattern works, but for a C body I'd stick to the steel road wheels, myself.
