Is there anything Magnums don't look good on? First time I can recall seeing Magnums on an R body...very nice.

I don't know, Mr. C. Magnums/blackwalls... on a padded Landau style roof? FAIL.
Cop car R-body... Yes.

Very nice "R"-body - WITH the Magnum 500s and all. Blackwalls lookk just fine on the "C" and "R" cars, alike.

That rear door window treatment is the oddest thing I've ever seen.

It doesn't get worse than this.

Here's one I can't understand how it got out of the design studio:
Was Management on a retreat that month? Or did Accounting order that the C-piller costs had to be reduced by another dollar ninety-eight.

I still find the original post car the oddest, this door window berserk just doesn't blend;
on the Thunderbird from a distance I get the Landau coach picture; nothing I'd order but correctly executed if you MUST do it.

The "R" car is what is called a "pillared hardtop". I really don't see the quandary about the rear door window arrangement. It was 1979. It's what was. It sold cars.

They are asking you to suspend disbelief in this case as they didn't have the money to make a 2 dr.

If the opera window was made the same height as the roll down I would rate it acceptable. Maybe. ;)

I agree the magnums don't look right on that car but they look better than many other options. Personally hubcaps would probably look better on it

Cop car R-body... Yes.

I would have gone with white walls, myself. I was still surprised at how good the Magnums work with that car...a combination I never would have thought of.

Blind squirrel , .......Vette boy

I was just thinking last night, it's about time for some new Corvette owner's banter, it's been very quiet for one or two weeks. :)
