1979 Roadrunner (not a clone) E58 360-4bbl (N41 code) Sure Grip rear, A/C, BROADCAST SHEET!!.....other options.

I'm selling the car I rescued from its resting place for MANY yrs only for it to be yard art in my driveway. I have to many irons in the fire. It's been almost a year. I got it home, pressure washer it mildly (engine bay lightly), removed plugs (they all looked good), let Marvel Mystery Oil set over the rings for 48 hours and turned it over manually. Then it sat. Solid frame. Dash is NICE. All of the parts not seen on the dash are included. Many parts that the old fellow had acquired go with it....duplicates even. Solid cowls. A couple of small holes in the pan where water got through a window seal. A few other "small" holes on the body but a really good starter project....all there. I can answer questions from possible earnest buyers. I'm posting wet photos after a simple water spray and some dry. The 70yrs + fellow let it set after his wife fell ill. He assured that it ran beforehand....but keep in mind that it has sat for some time. RARE MOPAR ....Just over 200 360-4bbl 79 Roadrunners. It was the fastest American made car in that year. Please respond with real interest.
Thanks all. $2600 Helena AL
(Only real interest with cash please....actual title in hand with records and "broadcast sheet" specific to this Roadrunner)

The 360 4bbl option was a "High Altitude Only" engine calibration. For certain counties in Colorado and similar. The TQuad was probably a "cleaner" emissions carb in that situation than the Holley 2245 2bbl, I suspect.

With the fuel calibrations optimized for emissions and such at the higher altitudes, which would have meant "leaner" (the older FSMs listed main jet sizes for vehicle which would be operating at higher altitudes), then a jetting change would nave been necessary for continued use at lower altitudes (which warranty probably would not pay for). No real reason it could not have been done, at the owner's expense, to better match lower-elevation calibrations. But in a period when "performance" was of seeming lesser importance, why bother when the normal 360 2bbl could be had and would probably run close to what the 4bbl would? Or just add a 4bbl when the warranty was completed?

If it had been a "CA-spec" engine, the base fuel calibrations would have been good enough to use nation-wide, probably with no issues. AND ordered by dealers outside of CA who wanted a little more "performance" orientation. At a time when fuel economy was a big priority.

I don’t.
Where's the love lol... Plenty of room for customising and parts swapping with these things. I have crazy ideas, that whole nose would be swapped for a different one...Some pretty cool Mexican/South American versions (will double check which), neater bumpers too

I have a soft spot for these... but it would have to be the the right car to get me excited... I doubt it would happen again.
