NA engine. Seems like quite a history.

Seller’s Description:

Here is a very rare one for you. 1984 Dodge Charger. Reported as being 1 of 3 built by Carroll Shelby and his team for the drag strip. Very rare non-vin number car, so is sold on bill of sale only. This car held the NHRA national record for its class from 1989 to 2001. Has quite the race history. Drag Times did an article about this car, and stated that it could be one the rarest Shelbys on the planet. Retains its original interior. A really cool piece of drag racing history, and Shelby history as well.

Price: $10,500

Back in 1984 Mopar hop up parts division was called Direct Connection if I remember correctly. My Fury has Direct connection valve covers. Why the Mopar Performance stickers on the Charger I don't know.

The car continued racing well into the "Mopar Performance" years and the contingency sticker might have been worth $100 or more at a national event win.
