Thank you @crv - no trailer towing package on that Massachusetts RMW unfortunately. The TTP’s shorter gearing and improved suspension and cooling make a big difference.

How many miles?

It looks great!

I have had 6 of these. Great vehicles. The 91-93 have the TBI motor... less power, less issues. The 94-6 have the LT1 motor, more power, more problems. I never paid more than 2500.00 for one of them. Seems a little overpriced. But aren't all cars today....

We have my wife’s dad’s 95 limited and it’s fantastic!
76 kmiles and runs great

Finding one that nice, though, and with all of the side trim intact (that black falls off if you look at it funny), is pretty tough now; it's sad how many of these are still just used as daily "beaters".

These cars are starting to be 5-figures up here in Canada in that shape, so I'm not surprised they're creeping there in the US, too. They really deserve to, as they're the "last of a breed" and really cover the spectrum of big cruiser and muscle car.

I have a '94 sedan, and had a '93 sedan before that and a '96 Caprice before that. I actually really liked the power and "feel" of the TBI motor; as someone else said, without trailer package gearing, the LT1 doesn't feel nearly as sprightly as it does otherwise, and gives up very little "fun" to the TBI. The '93's interior is vastly superior to the '94s; they really cheapened them starting in '94. It's actually cheaper-looking than the '96 Caprice's!

My '96 Caprice had the LT1 with B4U, and it moved well and was a great car.

I've owned a 1994 Impala SS for 21 yrs now. I bought it with 88k on it now its got 246k. It can be a maintenance pig, but it's really no different than any other car, just expensive. I now have been forced into driving it daily again, my wife decided to try and park my Camry under a Lexus SUV. It started and drives like I never quit driving it. A great car. reasonable mileage too 22mpg.

I found that my Caprice needed fairly regular maintenance, especially as a daily, but I found it really easy to work on and not expensive for parts. I found it hard to find some parts, though, as most available were either for the Impala or the L99/non-trailer-equipped models, so things like rear drums, the mechanical fan belt tensioner, etc. were difficult to source.

My experience with these is the plastic parts. I had to have a clip made and replaced several window rollers.

The next item in my punch list is the climate control. I don’t know if this thing is auto-temp like or easier to deal with…

@david hill knows those cars inside out. He has helped make a 1996 RMW and a 1996 FWB (both with TTP) into super reliable long distance cruisers.
