Now I get it, and thank you for the explanation. I read a lot of those "hose" posts that 68PK provided, and couldn't quite make the connection. That's when I realized the "hose" joke might go back years and I'd never get to the source post!

You want shiny? A quick wipedown with a cloth soaked with ATF.

I just wiped down my truck to illustrate a quick ATF shine.
12+ years old, never been washed.

In reality, up close and in person, it needs a paint job.
