Hey Dave, you will need to change the gearbox as the bolt pattern on the bellhousing is different. Also if the 318 is running a 904 torgueflite then when you change to the big block transmission you will also have to change out the drive shaft as well. The exhaust primary pipes wont line up anymore either. I think your stub frame should be good as is with no need to change that. The engine mounts attached to the 318 will have to be changed too, you will need to get big block ones of these as well to fit the 383 engine. Then you may wish to consider a larger radiator as well. This may mean swapping out the radiator support panel for a big block one too. What size brakes is the car running at the moment?
