I had some extra work involved in my installation. I have a garage space on my farm which my grandpa poured the concrete probably 75 years ago. Good quality concrete but definitely not level. I cut and jack hammered out 3 areas, I increased the areas from 1/2" to 3".

A skid steer definitely made it much easier. I had a platform jack I used too and was able to assemble it by myself.

I did have one issue because I had it on concrete piers, I can't move it after assembly. I had to cut one of the safety release rods and weld it in place, because the need to feeding it through the front of the lift. I am 3 feet from the wall and the rod is 5 feet long.

I am very happy with the lift so far. I have a 2 post also but will use this when I am not removing the wheels. I will probably eventually buy a sliding jack for the 4 post.

I got a closer inspection of the dual exhaust for the first time.

Nice! I’m really enjoying the Bendpak 4 post lift with the air jacks. I rotated the tires on Lucy, our Bronco and it was great to do it without crawling underneath it.

remove the ramps before you lift it up.
^This^

Since the C-bodies are so long and lifting the heavy ramps to remove them is awkward with the overhang, I raise the lift about 6", then slide a 4x4 under the ramps up close to the lift. Then I put the lift down and the ramps lift out of their slot. Then it's just a matter of sliding them forward onto the lift for safe keeping. This is a real back saver for me.

I also invested in a couple of these air jacks. These really need to be used with a jack stand or blocks as I wouldn't trust them too far, but they do make things easy. I used just one for a while and then decided they were cheap enough to buy a second one so I could put one on each side if needed.

I use a pair of 1 x 4s to prop up the tilt ramps out of my plunk zone for my head.

I also use the Bendpak air jacks for lifting my vehicles .

BENDPAK RJ7W 7,000-lb. Capacity / Rolling Bridge Jack / Easy-Roll Wheels

I can’t tell which brand you have, but maybe these will work or your manufacturer might offer something similar.

I am looking forward to using it this weekend to figure out my motor oil leak source on Goldie, which got worse this year. Thanks for all the tips. The Bendpak sliding jack (I have a Bendpak 2 post in my shop) is as much as I spent on this 4 post, I think I will keep looking LOL.

This garage was originally going to be a storage garage, so I don't have heat, compressor, or my tools. I did however insulate it really well, so it will be easy to heat. I think I might change my mind and make this my car shop. Sadly I often can't get to my 2 post because of all my other projects are in the way.

Wait... You have two lifts?

I'm starting to hate you... LOL!!
Here is the beauty on the 4 post. My wife got a new car and they didn't want to give her anything for her 15 year old Beetle, so she said you have 5 vehicles I can have 2. I said if you go in half on a purchase of a 4 post lift, I can store you Beetle inside on the farm.

I have also found out I really don't like how the convertible flexes on the 2 post. I may never service Goldie on the 2 post again.
