1959 Plymouth Fury for sale.
Solid California car, front bumper not in pics but is included, no engine or trans. 6,000 or best offer.

Key words: Mopar Plymouth Dodge Chrysler

had found this car and some other from same age on the FWLK site, and happened to be in Palm Springs, 15 miles from Cabazon, about two weeks ago. Was there at 5 o clock in the afternoon, and the warehouse was closed with a chain. There were some ph numbers on the door, and called one of them. A lady replied, and we set an appointment at 3 o clock next day. Was there at the correct time, but nobosy was there. Tried calling, and nobody replied. Left a message, but nobody replied. Tried calling several times next days, but never got a reply. Don't understand this way of doing businness, trying to sell a car without talking to potential buyers.

What's the verdict Chris?

Is there enough left of this car to make this project worth it?

Well Bob it's about as cool a body style as you're gonna find so while it is a MAJOR project I think it is well worth doing for someone who is ambitious or has deep pockets. If the floors and trunk floor are good you are starting out way ahead of the game. Of course as with any car a personal inspection is always a good idea.

The forward look cars, like this one, are a completely different level of project. Decent cores are very rare, parts even rarer. Nothing is reproduced for these cars. Extensive chrome plating is usually required, driving the cost up, as is upholstery costs. (To correctly restore).
There was a 59 383 raised block engine at Carlisle last year that would have been perfect for this car.
It will require a very high level of metal panel fabrication. All said and done, even though these cars, when done correctly, demand high values you will be upside down in the end. even doing most of the work yourself.
It will be a labor of love and something to be very proud of. Your going to spend a LOT of money in a short time, or your going to spend a LOT of money in a long time.

Assumeing the price has some wiggle room this car looks to be worthy of the effort.

Those fins, roof line, grill are just so cool.

These cars were just stunning when new!!!!
