Now that is one sharp car, beautiful color combo and it looks nice and straight. My favorite Ma Mopar console design

No wicker rattan trim? Is it a Polara then? With center console and buckets? Vin tell us or data plate for sure? Still a nice looking car with AC and Pwindows. I already left a message for the seller since I'm serious about a 65 66 Monaco and 65 vert. Without the wicker trim its not the same look.

Definitely a 65 Monaco. What a beauty. You won't be able to find the wicker trim. I've been trying for almost 2 yrs. I'm keeping my original wicker even though it's a bit weathered. Good luck and I hope you buy her!

Yes it is a '65 Monaco. No pics of the back of the seats but if you look at the inside of the driver door and rear area you will see the strip that runs just above the arm rest bases....that has wicker in it. Hard to tell if the seats have been redone. I would make sure that they have the wicker on the back.

thanks guys! The data tag confirms body = D42 Monaco. I really like it with that aqua interior. talked to owner. He's not very responsive. I'll try to buy for $7500?

He won't get a better offer. Don't look too anxious. He'll come to you by Thanksgiving.

Nice Monaco..... $7500.00 would be a fair offer I think.
How hard is it to get that damm tinted film off the glass.....?

Massachusetts made me remove mine once.
You have to peel off the film which, OF COURSE, won't come off in one large pc. but in slivers.
Then the glue residue on the glass is rock hard so it takes forever for acetone to penetrate it and soften it enough to scrape with a razor.
That leaves behind a haze that has to be rubbed out with more acetone.
Then you have to pick up your arms which have fallen off so you can open a bottle of Ibuprofin for your massive Migraine...

Marian: I have found a supplier on line for ALL types and weaves of rattan. www.rattansupplies.com
Will one of you post here a "very" close up picture of a bonefied original rattan weave so i can match to their inventory? Pretty Please :)
I made the offer!! If I purchase this car, I absolutely have to install new rattan where it should be!!!!!! That's the only thing I can see that really makes a Monaco different from an 880 or Polara... right? It has a similar environment as the 300L because of standard buckets and center console with shifter. more sporty!

This is the best pic I have at this time. If no one else comes up with a better one I will take some more. This is the original interior on my 383 car.

Thank You ieman! That ruler is perfect for to identify the correct spacing and weave. The guy is down to $7800 now. Shipping to west coast is ridiculous. Basically 1/3 the cost of the car for enclosed transport from MA. Gotta be a shipper out of MA cheaper?

Go with an open hauler. Mark? Who was that outfit you used? They seemed reasonable.

I used these guys to ship formal bumpers and other big parts in a 8'x4'x4' crate on a flat bed......ask for economy ground rates.

I used a broker - Magic Carpet Auto Transport. Second time I used them, good experiences both times, would use them again. It cost $475 from Troy, Mi to Carlisle, Pa. Very reasonable considering it cost abt $150 to have a car towed/flatbedded from 30-45 mins away!

My guess is that it'd cost abt $1350 to the metro areas in Cali, depends exactly on where you are. If interested i can forward the contact # of the guy I dealt with.

That is a nice car........again I find myself wondering why i 'need' a ragtop when a htp is much cheaper.

I forgot to add that it cost me $441 to ship from El Paso, Texas to Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland and took about 4 days.

wow! $441 from El Paso to Maryland is dirt cheap. My regular shipper quoted $1100 - $1400 from MA to SoCal. Thanks Gents!!
