There couldn't have been too many of these made.

To my eyes, the 1965 300Ls were virtually as desirable as the best fuselage models in terms of styling. Elwood did real good on that one...............................

Agreed!
But if you're referring to this car, you better get those eyes checked - this is a standard 300. :D

This one looks awfully nice, extremely rare, although I don't know how desirable that 3-on-tree makes it. Might actually hurt it? Console AT would be more desirable in a 'vert?
Interesting that it has the Bendix dual-diaphram booster and a large disc MC. Wonder if it was converted to discs.
And that one wheel almost looks like a 70 SF GT wheel with the small black centercap.

If it's all as presentable up close as in these pics, might be $15-17, can 't personally see $25k. Especially with those Lightning McQueen whitewalls.

I was not referring to this non-letter car - I do know very well the differences between the Ls and the regular 300s. I own 2 300Ls and I much prefer them to the regular series. The running light in the grilles and the simpler lower side trim plus the red insert paint in the side trim are both neat touches in my view. And the interior trim is nicer too.

But both models are great designs overall in my view.

I have often posted this image of a 300L on this site as my holy grail of 65 300s..................a triple black 300L

I knew you knew the difference, was just funnin' with you. Was originally going to use this :poke: on you but decided on the smiley-face.
