65 300 head rest question

pulled these bucket seat out of a 65 4dr 300.
Apears to original vynil on seats.
Passenger side has headrest,but driver side does not???
Was told that 65s had each individual side available as option and sometimes they came in this odd combo?

True.

Passenger side had an optional recliner, that required the headrest. Recliner not available in the driver's side, so the headrest was still available, but not often chosen.

A friend of mine has a '65 New Yorker two door car, and each of the bucket seats has a headrest. Great option.
