I recently bought a 65 with a 426 wedge, can I put a Max Wedge intake on it, Heads, Headers?? having a heck of a time finding parts for this engine and model, Thanks for any advice
You do NOT want to go through the MAX WEDGE hassles when you can simply equal or surpass Max Wedge performance with tried and true standard wedge components. There's a ton of stuff out there.
And since there was no Max Wedge in '65, you're not concerned about authenticity, why not go the 440 route. It's actually cheaper to build from a 440 from a 426.
How far do you want to push the hp envelope? The maximum comfortable street hp can be achieved with what you got w/o going the MW route.
i have learned this and its staying basically stock, no, I was sandwiched between 2 Polaras, one a convert and the other a Purple one, only thing I might do is look for some alumn heads, but I am keeping it all, I would love to find a Demon but people want crazy prices. This is one bad *** Sport FUry.Pretty sure I was parked beside you at Carlisle with the wagon.
Nice car.
That Max wedge stuff isn't for a Street Wedge which is what you have. Ports are much smaller on yours and won't match up with the intake. A+A makes a reproduction intake for normal port heads but it is mucho $$.
