From the configuration of the end of the snorkel, it looks like the one on our '66 Newport 383 2bbl. 1967 had a different end-configuration, I believe?
What makes it a 2 bbl air cleaner is the base plate. Put the base plate from the repro '68 Road Runner air cleaner under there and you've suddenly got an incognito 4bbl "open element" air cleaner with the '68 "Holley-size" air cleaner base. The '67 and prior Carter AFB had the smaller hole, I believe.
