Saw this ad on moparts and thought someone here might need it. It's in the "Full size parts for sale section. You'll have to pm him on Moparts.

For Sale:

Complete floor pan from a 65 Fury (should be the same for 65 – 68 Full size Plymouth, Dodge and Chrysler). It is in very nice shape. Hade some pin holes under the driver’s feet that were welded up and one very small patch. It is from an A/C car but the A/C line holes have been filled in.

The pan was meticulously removed from the donor car with all the spot welds cut out.

$225 for the complete floor pan. Pan is located in Cincinnati. Not sure if this is even shippable – I do travel a lot and if you are on my way I might be able to deliver.

Please contact me via PM.

Wow. All one piece! Nice!
Most of his bozo inquiries will ask, How much for shipping to...

Side note: Notice how asymmetrical the drive train tunnel is.

Want to have a guess as to why the tunnel is asymmetrical? Hint, it has to do with typical Chrysler over engineering.

Lemme guess.
Someone in top management couldn't fit his size 14's in it comfortably while driving with the design engineer riding shotgun...

Nope, more to do with understanding that most cars at that time were driven by one person with no passengers and so the engine was offset to counter the weight of the driver making the car more balanced. What it also did was allow there to be more space for the power booster and steering box as well. So in the end the car rode better.

Interesting about the weight balancing.
Now a computer compensates for it in some cars.

What really sucks is when they took the american floor plan designs and made them right hand drive in Australia no one thought to move the engine back to the other side, so you ended up with the engine, steering box and power booster all crammed over to the right hand side. And in the Abodies too! Doing spark plugs on them sucked *** big time, still do.

they are sitting in my garage waiting for a light bead blasting and a coat of primer before being welded into place... :)20150128_191949.jpg20150128_191942.jpg
