That looks like the same one that Commando posted in the slabs slabs and slabs thread. I remember it was in Oneonta Alabama because thats where my dad lives. The Craigslist ad said $5000. Not too bad. Wish mine was a Sport Fury 4-speed...

Ahhhhhh....look at the crappy trim job on the carpet up by the dash and pedals. Looks like a blind man installed the carpet!! I couldn't live with it looking like that. If that is his "attention to detail" then I question much about the car.

Yeah, i see what y'all are saying. It's not a "perfect" car. I'm just lookin at it this way. I'll probably have $5000 or a lil more in mine when it's done. And it won't be a Sport Fury, and it won't be a 4-speed.... Everything needs some work...

N8 has a point. You can spend a lot more than 5 grand and not get to the point where that car is.
If your heart is set on that type of car, five grand may be a very fair price and then you can then take the car to the level you want.
Many, many, times we are quick to ridicule the prices a/o the car but a lot of those times it's the most feasible entry fee to get to where you want to be.

I hadn't noticed that right away....AHHHHhhhhhh....
Not that my cars are perfect...heck no....but this is by choice, not by laziness or ignorance. I've had the big dollar show cars and to me it's not worth the time, money and aggravation to keep them at that level of detail...plus sitting at a car shows sucks!! Get behind the wheel and drive!!

Yeah... Now i feel bad. Ha ha! I love this forum for what it is. I've been learning alot on here. I try not to post much, because i honestly know i don't have an ounce of the knowledge as everyone here. And i am here to learn more than anything. But i gotta admit that this is an enjoyable forum because of the "cast"! You guys carry on! And are'nt we are all missing the big picture here... a 440...? In '65?? Just kidding ha ha! I have just come around to these cars and i like to see everyone of them that i can. I'd rather see that '65, or any "C" on the road rather than rotting away and completely neglected. Enough of my soap box! And thanks to all for all of the knowledge you share!

It was a beautiful day today and we went out for a ride. Cruising just east of Oneonta, (alabama), I spotted this Sport Fury parked by the road along with a 68 Coronet 440 and a early 50's Dodge pick up. I stopped and took a look. The car was basicly a pretty nice one that someone did a "flipper" restro on. Nothing seemed to fit well but was all there. Interior is really shabby but complete, I didn't look under the hood or talk to anyone.
I would put it at a $3-3500.00 value for someone who wanted a good core to start with. Sorry, I didn't have my camera with me.
