65 Sport Fury 426/4spd

I came across this car which just happens to be for sale. Owner is asking 38K CDN$.

Seems to be a decent car, but unless that 38 equates to around 20k US, he's gonna be holding onto it for awhile. From what I've seen (on ebay anyway), 4-speed Cs don't usually pull that kinda money.

In 2003 I had a chance to buy once of these for $9500. Wish I had come up with the money!

I'm remembering a thread in the last 6 mos or so where we lamented the same thing, I saw a nice one offered at $10k or so, then it showed up some months later noted as having a rod knock and sold for $7500. Should've jumped...

A customer of mine had one, it needed a resto, he had the motor rebuilt. I only saw pic's of it, typical quarter panel rot. He sold it and got $7000 or 7500 for it can't remember which. I thought it was too much but maybe not
