Seen this the other night at the Rolling Meadows cruise night, interesting car.
1966 300 convertible with a 3 spd on the column.
No other options that I could see. I didn't get to see under the hood.
Big block car?

Is the RM cruise night still on Friday's? Think Looks like the same 300 I saw in Sycamore's Turning Back Time event last year.

A '66 300 with a 3 on the column. I bet you'll never see another one again.
Newports? Yah. 300? I don't think so.
Too bad it's a ragtop.

I see it's already got bucket seats with a buddy seat between them. Aside from the fact that it's a rare oddball, this car is just begging for a 4-speed + console conversion. :)

Until 1971, when Chrysler introduced the Newport Royale with a 360, all Chryslers were big blocks. Even the '62 Newport, first year as its own model, in base form came with a 361, a big block. Plymouths and Dodges could be had with small blocks, even the /6, but ALL Chryslers were big blocks. The question of 383, 413, or 440 is a good one, however.

I've posted this picture of a /6 Fury several times.
