Does anyone know of a wheel that could be swapped onto a 66 imperial to get a road wheel or wheel and trim ring look?
I was wondering about that. Thank you.The '88-newer GM truck wheel offset will not allow these to work on the Imperial. You'll have interference on the inside.
Won't look as good as the wheelcovers it was designed with IMO.
I like the way road wheels look, but for my dollar, the only thing I want to swap to is a turbine-style wheel that is similar in concept to the turbine wheel covers. The Cordoba cast wheels would be awesome if they were 5x5. Maybe black with polished faces?
Mine were pretty quiet before I went to town on them.
That would be cool if you could take the Chrysler turbine appliques and bolt them to the Chevy truck Rallyes in the same way they bolt up to the Chrysler wheels, but the size of the center hole on the Chrysler turbines would be too small to fit on those Chevys. Shame, too, because I was looking at that very same thing for my convertible.
