Hey gang. Glad to be part of this forum as I need all the help I can find! I own a white 1966 Newport coupe which my family and I have enjoyed until recent mechanical issues. It's got a rebuilt 383 with a four barrel carb, performance intake manifold, and a mild cam. 3 speed auto trans (727 I believe). She's known as Mizz Betty White in our family. We just love the car as really you just don't see many of them around, so we get a lot of thumbs ups and comments as we roll in her. While I adore the car as is, I am a fan of the old school kustom, so dream plans for a mild custom look include some panel paint on the roof, traditional pin striping on the deck lid, a nice set of astro supremes, bellflower tip exhaust, and airbags to really set it apart from what you normally see here in NJ. Purists don't cringe as those are DREAM plans! I just have to get her reliable to begin with. I'll be posting later w questions regarding finding a replacement radiator, etc. Never realized there wouldn't be a catalogue I could just order out of, like those lucky chevelle/nova/tri5 guys! And being I have no auto experience besides being from "good stock", I'm learning as I go. Got my work cut out for me! :sSig_noob:
