66 newyorker tires

What size was on there originally? If you type that size into Google, you can probably find a page that will tell you what the modern equivalent is. You'll then want to check the load rating.

Your best bet might be to roll down to your local tire shop and talk to them. They'll tell you what is available, and help you figure out things like diameter, load, etc.

Redlines??

I looked all over for tires locally and couldn't find anything larger than 215/70 in 14". The ones I have are Hankook Tires I bought on line from Discount Tires Direct. They were $86 each at the time with free 3-5 day shipping (got here in 4:steering:).

Then why was I able to plug B F Goodrich 225/70 14 into Google and a bazillion hits come up selling them?

You do it. I know you can....
Like I said, there were a ton of them so you need to look at all the hits.
