Selling a 1966 Dodge Polara 2 door in good shape. Been in the family for years. All original 383 with 727. A/C car. Rockers good. frame good. some rust but not bad. Cool car. Don't see these too often. Have Title.

It's pretty bad when they don't say "ran when parked"...

what matt said, AND she's dug into the ground pretty good. underside "marinating" and it takes a while not moving for em to sink in like that. maybe all is fine but we all have seen this "picture" and gotten rude surprises after a car is moved.

cool old car tho. hope it gets saved.

this has been posted on Face Friend last week as well and opinions given on the asking price.

It's a sow's ear right now and could be made into a silk purse but unfortunately it is a long ways off...
There is probably a lot of rusted under-body from sinking into the ground unless a mud facial preserves metal...

There is another 383/727 similar in Alberta at an asking price of $900cdn complete which is a bargain compared to this one.

It's nothing special other than a parts car...

It would make a cool vintage stock car though!:3gears:

That car is near me in southern Minnesota. Good project my ***. It needs another car to fix all that's wrong with it. People my way must smoke crack after watching Barrett Jackson thinking Amy Mopar is worth almost 5 figures if it runs. I was going to take a look at it, but I don't think it's worth my time. It's too far gone. Complete restoring on everything, be better off finding a complete car that's done and save a lot rather than buying this one.

I'm going to go look at it, my curiosity got the better of me. And I have nothing to do, so why not?

Sonic went and looked at it. Met a nice gal who was selling it. It was her fathers car. The ad isn't too far off condition wise, but open to interpretation. The front stubframe had a hole at the back where it meets the floor and was crusty ahead of that. The trunk had rust around the wheel wells, both quarters were rusted above and behind the wheels. Interior shot, both bumpers needed restoring, grille was bent in the middle. Non A/C car. Engine seized with spark plugs out.

Positive side, had all window trim that looked pretty damn good, grille trim on good and fenders good too. Headlight bezels usable. Taillights pretty good, pass side had chrome starting to flake. Trunk inserts decent. Emblems and lettering was there and good enough for a driver.

I offered her a super low price after I told her I though she was way off on the price. She told me it was best offer. Told her I thought is was a parts car and she said maybe she would piece it out.

I took my Polara out there and that made her day. She was checking out the differences between the two cars and asked what I had done to mine, so that was cool.

So I wasn't too surprised to see what I saw, and I got to take the Polara out for some good highway miles, letting the engine purr along at 2800 rpm (70ish) for 40 some miles there and back, on a beautiful day/night. I'll find my parts car someday, I hope, but this one isn't it. Some good parts to be had though.

My Fury sat down on the ground like that for 10 years in the former owners front yard (western Pa). Luckily somehow it survived in good shape. I only had to patch two small sections of floor. Trunk had a few pinholes but very solid and the frame rails are real clean.
