The weatherstrip piece that fits in the front vent window frame is shot and the two little guide pieces on top that go through the window glass have apparently come out and are most likely at the bottom of the door. I was able to purchase a new set of strips with guide pieces but the old strip in the frame has a slot punched through it at the top for the guide pieces to go through but the new ones do not have slots. As I understand it, the strip is to go up and down with the window so do I need to put holes in the new strips to achieve this?
These pieces were not easy to find and a little expensive so I don't want to mess them up. Thank you for any help.
