Hello,

Trying to remove the brake booster on a parts car (looks near new).

I removed two nuts above it in the engine bay, two nuts behind the brake pedal and the bolt connecting the pedal to the actuator.

It won't budge.

What am I missing?

Thanks,

Craig

On my 66 parts car it looks like there are 4 bolts for it. on the inside. Look up high above the brake pedal. I got this halfway off yesterday and gave up and my neck and arms started to kill me from being contorted trying to wrench on it. Mine is rusty as hell on the outside, but it looks good on the inside.

It has 4 studs, and nuts that are on the inside only. The ones on the firewall side loosen the mounting plate. They don't have anything to do with the booster coming off. There's 2 about eye level, and 2 way up. I had mine out in about 30 min. Its a pain...........

I figured as much... thank you for the heads up. My secret weapon for getting into tight spaces is my very flexible 12 year old. Will probably cost me an ice cream cone but should be worth it.

The upper 2 nuts took me a swivel 3/8's and the deep well socket. They come right out once you get lined up.........

I wish I had a mechanically inclined, flexible 12 year old. Would have made the brake pedal return spring repair I recently did much easier.
