Salt corrosion doesn't even take that long. We do a 20 year corrosion test in 221 days. Some "test items" don't even make it to the 10 year test mark.

Western snow is a lot different the NJ snow...... It really is dry.
I lived in Colorado for several years and could sky to town in the powder and never get wet.
