Hi guys, we were over a buddies garage today and a friend of his dropped by with a beautiful 67 GTX. We got to talking about my 66 Fury. He then said he had a complete 67 Polara 500 for sale. I took a ride with him and drove my buddies 6 pack 440 Challenger over his house to check out the Polara. The Polara is all there, but has been dead center hit by a telephone pole that jumped out in the rear of the car! Not good, but he has the entire rear section of the car that comes with it. The rear end will need to be cut off and the new section welded in. See pictures. Needs rear quarter work. Interior is all there and from the rear quarters forward is fine. Numbers matching car. 383. Car is cool. It has all the original hubcaps also. Rear light housing are good and took no damage from the pole hit. I thought I'd put it up on here to see if anyone is interested in it. I might buy it, but need to run it by my wife. Definitely a cool car and would be great if done right.! He is asking $3200. What do you guys think?

Since you asked, he's your friend and he wants $3,200? A well optioned car with the HP engine BUT it has the typical Jersey rust...... Plus the dent. Too much lower and they part it for an E body ..... a grand and you are doing him a favor

LOL, he's not a friend of mine. He's my buddies friend. I thought he was asking way to much too, but wanted to get some input from you guys. Thanks for the suggestion on the price. Kind of thinking on the same lines. I was thinking $1500. If I can get it for $1000 or less, it would be worth the investment. I could part the car out!!

He could part it also and make more than the grand. The idea here is to keep it complete...... Someone would need to have a C body passion and the desire to have a 67 Polara project. You could buy a NICE one for way less than the time to do this one up. I hate to say all that but its true

Looks like someone was practicing for the derby...

That crushed area is so damn symmetrical it could be passed off as a customized rear end.

Hit that hard and that perfectly centered... had to be on purpose. Is he a shevy guy? I hope he at least got the pole moved out of his way.

This is just a suggestion but I'd put it on a frame machine before you buy it. That's an awful hard hit dead center of the rear header. Look at how much the edges of the lights have moved from the quarter extensions, the bumper on the passenger side has moved a bunch inboard. Also notice how far the lower passenger quarter has moved from the plane of the lower trim.

Look at that rear end very carefully. At the very least the header is going to have to be pulled if not replaced.

Yeah, I think he's out of line on the price. BUT he's not a Chevy guy and is all MOPAR. This is his real car..! It is beautiful.
