I am restoring my beloved mopar and all my brakes are about locked up i have searched the internet up and down with no luck finding a good brake kit for the front my car has disc brakes already and the only kits i can find are, for drum to disc conversion's after investing 25k in my mopar i am at a standstill since i cant get parts to fix the front brakes plz any help would really be appreciated. and i am sorry for my lack of computer skills and lowsy typing in advance i have a 67 plymouth sport fury h code with a 383 commando engine thanks again for your help :BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:

Welcome may I ask why you don't want to use drum to disk conversions? Scarebird makes a good kit

I'd suggest a swap to the more common 69-72 c body disc brake system. Or if you can go with the 73 its the best. Get the spindles out. The upper, and lower control arms are the same as what your car has. The biggest change is the readily available lower ball joint. The 67 original disc one is 400 a side rebuilt. Going to the 69-73 setup the lower ball joint is at most 150 a side for a good quality one.

I'm not sure I know what you're asking. Your brakes are all but locked up. What does that mean?

i was wanting to upgrade to slotted and drilled rotors but my car has disk brakes from the factory would love to find a bolt on kit to replace spindles and all for 1200.00 or less since ill have 800 in fixing what i have just for rotors and callipers

Does wilwood make anything? They seem to have a kit for everything. Don't know if it would be under 1200 though.

I'm still not sure it's clear what you're trying to solve. "Locked up" could mean a number of things, but I'm guessing you mean that your calipers are not releasing pressure. To fix that, you can have them rebuilt. That's a lot less than $800. You'll probably need new lines and a new master cylinder. But you'd need that anyway if you were swapping parts out. And it's still less than $800.

What is actually wrong, what have you done so far, and what are you trying to do?

i want to get rid of my 50 year old rusted up brakes for some slotted drilled rotors and nice looking 4 or 6 piston callipers my rotors are to far gone to turn and calipers are froze up so instead of fixing my pen brakes I want to upgrade to a more serviceable set up with better braking power not to mention pen parts are hard to find like rotors

Welcome !

The thread could use something ...

Can't quite put my finger on it though emoticonbigsmile.gif

I'll say it again, if thee is a kit you like but is designed for use with DRUM spindles and you have DISC spindles buy a pair of DRUM spindles and buy the kit that yow saw for drum spindles. You could probably find a set of drum spindles for the cost of shipping.
