Can some tell me what might be wrong with my head light motor, I have voltage to it but it wont open. With headlights on, I roll open manually and they open about half way then the motor starts to try and close back up. I can feel it kicking back the other way in my fingers. Any ideas what might be causing this?

I had to take mine apart because it was doing the same thing. Turned out to be the bearing in the bottom of the motor was full of crud and just needed to be cleaned and oiled. It wasn't too bad to take it apart and reassemble.

If you look at this thread, he takes one apart. 1969 Imperial progress thread

Thanks big john, Ill check into it. I have never taken one of these motors off, the manual makes it sound simple? I do want to get them working. I think its cool that you learned to drive on a 68 300! My older brother and I did to although this was in the late 70's. Our father was a 300 man also!
