Apparently the fella that treasured it has passed on, but prior to doing so he had at different times promised the car to each of two sons. The sons both want it but neither will buy out the other so the executor had it appraised and is selling it at that price so the funds can be divided equally among the survivors. Really kind of a sad story -- the lesson here is make sure you plan properly (before Alzheimer's kicks in).

I did plan, so i was working on buying two more Polaras but I figured they'd bicker anyway. So sell them all off.....

That's kinda what I meant - get your pleasure then get the cash and spend it on a going away forever party.

I saw some rust through on the inner fenders at the rear, the camera didn't capture that, the frame rails and all else underneath looked good and I'm assuming the rear quarters have been repaired but if so it was well done. For some reason, with keys in hand, I never even thought to open the trunk and look inside - must be senility setting in even though i'm not the one with a birthday today...... Hi Bill :p

The original owner of my 71 Sport Fury has 3 sons and all 3 wanted the car. So he sold it.
