This is NOT mine, but I kind of like it.
More details in the ad would have been nice, but it does give the price of $7450, and it says its got a 440 under the hood.

white interior in a red convertible............ perfect, but me personally think many of the 68 polaras are missing something

Sweet ride, love the '68 Dodges!

yeah, but if you are remotely interested, you'll call

That's a very presumptuous comment. Actual fact that you cannot know is I am remotely interested but not interested enough to have to "work for it" to make a decision to call. My comment was a general comment on a car forum, not where the actual seller posted nor was it to the actual seller. My comment was that the seller should post more pictures and I don't see how you can disagree with that comment. He should also post more details about the options / what's installed.

More pictures and actual helpful information instead of " A very nice 60's era convertible. Very clean, dual exhaust, 440 V8. Great sounding and fast. Just glides down the road." The only piece of useful information in the post is that it has a 440. The rest of the words provided are commonly accepted knowledge for most people about big block 60's C bodies in general. Pictures and more details would help people become seriously interested potential buyers and help them make a decision to contact the seller instead of just get them remotely interested which is where I'm at. The whole idea of selling anything is to get buyers interested enough to act. The ad as it stands did not accomplish that for me and I'm always a potential buyer of very nice Mopars at a good or very good price/condition.

A nice picture of a desirable car just generates questions and motivates many "remotely" interested people to contact sellers to get the general minimal written and photographic information that should be provided from the start that is necessary to make a decision to pursue further. This is probably what generates so many "no tire kicker" or "picture collector" comments by sellers. They don't post enough information in the first place so folks looking for a particular car or part have to ask for the rest of the information. If sellers would post enough written and visual information in the first place there would almost certainly be less contact asking for basic information because many, like myself would have enough information to decide if they are serious and go ahead and contact the seller to get to "yes" or "no" or determine they are not seriously interested and not bother the seller.

You havent been here long enough to know me. I can disagree with anything and everything. The group has discussed the lack of photos in an ad before, sure more photos would help set the hook but if you really want it, call and he'll send you all you need.

As a seller leaving out information may actually provoke more calls for information

Yes anyone can be argumentative. I don't "really want it" because I haven't seen enough to make me really want it. I'm not going to "work for it" to make the sellers job easier or irritate him if I get more info and don't want it. Not my loss for certain. I can live w/o it. He can blissfully live on w/o me asking him for more information and pictures of a car I probably will not buy. However IF this is a car I would buy he's lost out on a potential sale by not posting the info I needed to provide the impetus for me to expend my time and energy to contact him.

Again my comment was a general throw away comment to you guys in 1 thread out of hundreds of CL ad threads ... not to the seller. I am more than remotely interested though in cool C-bodies and especially ragtops however I'm not obsessed with and on a mission to own a 68 Polara ragtop. Perhaps someone will post the update if he posts more pictures when he hasn't sold it.

Fair enough, everyone plays different.

Bryan, you are the first member in the history of FCBO to get Dave to peacefully backstep off the podium.
I'm buying rounds for the house.
