I am new to this site. My 68 sport fury made me come here.
I've had many mopars for many years and am at a turning point now with the fury. It has been outside and not running for 23 years. It is sound except for the trunk floor which needs to be replaced. A 440hp AC car with disc brakes.
I am on the fence about fixing it or selling it. Having restored several B bodys I have a handle on what it will take to do this but as far as I have been able to find out no one yet makes trunk floor pans for these cars yet. Is this true?
Aside the trunk pan the car can be an easy partial resto. (frame and floor is sound) very little is missing or junk.
My car is not pre-68 so I posted in the 69 and later place. I know I'm bad but I am new here.
I am looking for opinions, and comments. 589fury.jpg590fury.jpg591fury.jpg592fury.jpg593fury.jpg594fury.jpg595fury.jpg596fury.jpg597fury.jpg598cars.jpg

Welcome to FCBO..................

Now, dont sell it, you'll never get another. No trunk pans made but used ones are out there. Tell us, why is she sitting outside ? Now, you also know you are required to post photos of the car, engine, interior, and trunk pan

I knew this was going to come up. I can and will post pictures. The car has been out side because my 69 Charger 500 and 69 Coronet RT Hemi 4sp, and 09 Challenger SRT take up all the indoor space. The C500 is for sale and that would let me bring the Fury inside. I am looking at maybe one more winter outside for the Fury but hope that doesn't need to happen.

Thanks for the welcome. I expect to be back here a lot in the near future.

:sSig_greetingsthor:........ :welcome:
Nice collection and the Sport Fury will make a great addition.
Daves correct in that no one makes a good trunk floor for your Fury but good originals can be found.

Welcome to the site from the Motor City! We'll need to see pics of the whole fleet.

Welcome. Unusual and very good looking color for this model.

Wow, that deserves a restoration. I bet it would look killer when finished.

The ebay trunk floor looks pretty similar to the originals by those pics. Even if it needs a bit of work to fit, it has to be better than what's there.

That is my thinking. It does deserve a second chance. I am just wondering if I have another resto in me. They take a lot of work and the payback at resale is dismal.
But I have held on to this one because there is something special here that I think should be saved.
I have enjoyed the restoration adventure with the C500 but It can't bring the price it took to make it what it is. I see the same thing with this Fury. It would be fun to see and drive this car again like it was intended.

it's a keeper with the 440 HP.........find yourself a good western used trk pan and you're good to go.........and figure out a way to get it indoors!

Pure junk. Garbage. P.O.S.

Yep. Bought some stuff for my '53 from them. Nice guy to deal with but it's basically stuff that someone made in a sheetmetal shop with a brake and a shear. Don't count on it even coming close to fitting or even looking right.

I'd either look for a used piece or look at using some other trunk floor repop pieces and stitching it together.

Thanks for the input. I am a fabricator of sorts and know what it takes to make something like a trunk pan. Glad to hear about the heads up with that bad supplier.
I live near Wildcat Auto wrecking and think they can hook me up if any one can. I have yard credit cause I gave them several cars some years back.

The fleet looks great!
